Planets, The Zodiac and You

The Planets, Zodiac, and You

What do the planets in the Solar System have to do with you?

For some people, the coolest part of Science Class was learning about space. Back in the day, the teachers got a little more excited for the Astronomy Unit to come around. As we got older, some of us learned that Astrology was more than horoscopes, and we were able to connect the dots between what we learned in school and how the planets relate to us as human beings.

Most people know about Zodiac signs, but they are referencing their Sun sign - the astrological house the sun was in when they were born. You also have a sign for every planet or celestial body. This is why there is always that person asking for your birth time. Your birth time will give exact data on where each planet was sitting at the time of your birth - specifically, which Zodiac House. There are 12 Zodiac or Astrological Houses. Each House has 30 degrees of the 360-degree circle that represents our astrological birth chart.

For each planet or celestial body, there is at least one sign and at least one house that it presides over. The planets are broken up into three different groups in relation to astrology - Personal Planets, Transpersonal/Social Planets, and Generational Planets.  Each planet has key data points to help you understand how it connects to you, the rest of astrology, space, and time. So how does each planet fit into your life and astrology as a whole?

Personal Planets

Personal planets refer to The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Although The Sun and Moon are Luminaries, they are still considered to be a part of the five personal planets.
